Joseph F. Patton Jr. is the Founder and CEO of J.P. Marvel Wealth Management. He established the firm in 2007 and has more than four decades of experience in the wealth and investment management industries. Joe’s past leadership roles include positions with Longwood Investment Advisors and as a Managing Director at UBS PaineWebber Inc. Working closely with JP Marvel’s clients, Joe takes pride in providing investment, wealth, and life guidance to individuals, families, trusts, and estates at life’s various stages.
Joe is a Trustee Emeritus at Woods Hole Oceanographic Society, a Trustee Emeritus at the Brimmer & May School, and an Emeritus Advisor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He is also a Supporting Member of the Palm Beach Preservation Society, a Supporting Member of The Palm Beach Civic Society, a Circle Member of the Four Arts Society Palm Beach, and a Supporting Member of the Norton Museum Palm Beach. Joe spearheaded the fundraising for the production of the PBS broadcast of Daniel Yergin’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book, “The Prize.” He is a fellow at the Massachusetts Historical Society, and a member of Board Leaders, Inc.
Joe served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, in charge of a Swift Boat during the Vietnam Conflict, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Rhode Island.
