Mr. Thomas M. Doerflinger is a prominent economic historian and investment strategist. He wrote A Vigorous Spirit of Enterprise: Merchants and Economic Development in Revolutionary Philadelphia, winner of the 1987 Bancroft Prize, and (with Jack L. Rivkin) Risk and Reward: Venture Capital and the Making of America’s Great Industries. For twenty-nine years Doerflinger was an equity strategist on Wall Street, specializing in forecasting corporate profits and analyzing investment themes.
